what kind of apps can you come up with to become a good P.E. teacher? - Fitness app You can download apps through iTunes, or the handy App Store icon located on the iPad. You do not need to sync through your computer ever again, but it is recommended to sync on a regular basis, as your iTunes account will then be your backup copy, should anything happen to your iPad. Connecting to the computer also charges the battery, but this can also occur when using the provided AC adapter. How often do you exercise? - Maximize your fitness output. To obtain maximum benefits, increase the length of time that you work out. Gradually try to challenge yourself to extend the period of your workout sessions. For example, if you began your fitness routine walking for 20 minutes a day, after three or four weeks try 25 minutes. Once that becomes too easy try 30 minutes.

Blog Post 10

Sir Ken Robinson began his TEDtalk by humorously comparing school reform to a climate crisis because of its urgency. He says that humans make very little use of their talents and even fewer recognize their ability. One of his points was how some of the teaching methods that teachers are using today in the classroom have been outdated. I actually agree with this because everyday something is being created to help better future teaching and learning for the upcoming students. Ken discusses how we as a society have been obsessed with getting to college, yet human communities depend on diversity. In closing, he states that society as a whole needs passion.

While watching Ms. Cassidy's video, I was extremely impressed by these first graders and how they were very knowledgable with technology. Back when I was a first grader we wasn't doing half of what they are doing today. I remember writing on chalkboards, and using dry erase makers. These students are very bright and they are ready to learn new things. They learned how to create a blog, write out an acutal blog, use skype with other students, and explore the internet for things they may need. After watcing the video the little first graders really made me think how much technology has grown a lot and has made a big impact on kids lifes.

While watching this video, Randy Pausch shares many things about his life and the goals he has set for the future. The first thing Randy starting talking about was he told the audience that he has cancer, and has about 5 months to live. What he was saying in the speech was never give up on anyhting in life. Everything you do in life you learn from it. All throughout your life, you will continue to learn new things everyday. Take new things and grow from them, take mistakes and make them better. When we are teaching, it is important that we learn from our students. It may seem weird to think we can learn from children but it is very possible. Listening to Randy Pausch was motivational to me and will definitely help me in the long run.

Watching the videos about PLN, I have learned new things. Social networks has lot of things people share like ideas, opinions, and knowledge. There are multiple ways PLN's can be useful to me, as a teacher. Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and Pintrest are all some social networks that teachers can use to get ideas into the classroom. Just about everyone in the world has at least one social network they use often or a lot.

The video interviews on Project Based Learning with Dr. Strange and Anthony Capps gave a lot of information on how to use PBL in the classroom. It was great to see what we are learning put into action, and especially hearing it from a former student of EDM 310. I learned that it is important to let your job be a fun experience for you. It is a hard job but you have to make it fun and develop skills that make your job easier on you. Also, it's good to be creative with your work and make things interesting in the classroom Technology is expanding everyday in the world and things are charging rapidly, so it is important to stay up to date with the new technology tools that are out today.

Project 3: Presentation

Blog Post 4

What question do we ask? How do we ask the question? Asking questions is the key aspect of a teacher's interaction with their student. This is a good way for teachers to check their students work and see if they get a full understanding of what is going on in class. Another good strategy for asking questions is to make sure you have time aside to answer individual questions for students in class. Using these strategies will really help students build depth and complexity. Asking questions during discussions will also help students become more interactive in the discussions and help improve their learning skills.

There are many different steps into peer editing. First, start off by complimenting their work and telling them what they did well on. The second step for peer editing would be suggestions. It is good to give the writer some ideas on how they can make their writing better. Some examples would be word choice, using details, organization, sentence structure, and many others. The last step to peer editing is making corrections. When you are correcting their work look for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentences. It is very important to be positive when you are editing someone else's work writing. You have to think about their feelings and how they would feel when you state your comments.

Project #4: C4T Assignment

I had the pleasure of reading the blog of Jerrod Robinson. On the 1st post, I learned that there are apps out there that require you to use both physical fitness and literacy skills put together. This is a good way to keep kids healthy and very knowledgable about different material. This idea is a great idea to use in the classroom because you are keeping your kids active and focused on the lesson by making it fun and interesting. My comment:Hello Mr. Robinson, I really enjoyed reading your blog. This is a wonderful app for all young children. I feel like this app will really help promote positive things towards young students about being very aware of their health and fitness.

On the 2nd post, I learned that there are a lot of fun ways to make up a exciting work out plan. In the article, it states that using this app will help brighten up your work out each day. Instead of just walking on the boring treadmill, you can use this app to teach you different routes to take and differnt skills to use when you exercise. My comment:Hello Mr. Robinson, I am very into the fitness techniques and I love to learn new things about ways to exercise. This app is a very useful app for people who want to exercise many different ways. It gives you multiple of choices to choose from when you want to exercise.

1. When I watched the "Mr. Dancealot video", I learned that you need to make sure you are explaining the material well to your students. When demendstating something in class make sure all the students in the class can see and pay attention to what is going on. The most important thing the teacher could have done was to let the students practice the dance steps in class. I definitely agreed with the authors conclusion because you can not teach anything without giving examples or demostrating it to the class first.

2. When I watched the "Teaching in the 21st century" video, Roberts is stressing how important it is to learn independently in class. He pushes the importance of technology into the classroom and explains how it is a great source for students to learn. Robert's points on teaching are really good sources beacuse just learning straight out of the books are not the only sources to learning. When I become a future educator, I will use a lot of technology in my classroom to help expand my students horizon on learning.

3. After watching " The Networked student", I could tell he did really well with doing his work on his own. The only major things he needed from his teacher was the extra help on sources and guiding him through what he needed to do. The teacher was able to give him good resouces in order for him to do good on his work. That would be a good way to help students develop indepented learning skills for the class.

4. When I watched the "Harness your student digital smart" video, the thesis for this video states that there are more sources out there to teaching besides just teachers. There are many different ways to use technology in the classroom to help your students learn. I think this was a helpful video because it shows how children need to be taught how to learn on their own and develop many independent skills. As a future educator, I will definitely need to use technology in my classroom to help my students develop many skills.

5. When I watched the "Flipping the Classroom" video, I felt like it would be a very good idea to use in my classroom for the future. This technique will be a good source for my students to help them with preparing for class and getting organized. Also, it gives them opportunities to ask questions about the lesson before class starts.

1. I have heard that the class is easy but the work is just to much to do in a week. People have told me that we really dont meet up for class all we have to do is stay up on our work daily. I heard that we will have to make a twitter, facebook and more.

2. My fears about EDM 310 is that I will not spend up to 9 hours a week on this blog website due to other work I have to do. I am scared that I might procrastinate with my work.

3. EDM 310 is a lot different from the classes I have taking in the past. I can say looking on the checklist we have a lot of work to do get done.

4. I think the most difficult thing for me will be turning my working in on time and staying organize with my work.

5. The best way to approach this class is to stay on top of my work, make sure all of my assignments are turned in on time, and get extra help if needed.

6. The only question I have is do we have to take test in this class.

Practice Post

My name is TaMarcus Warren. I am from Auburn,Alabama. I am a transfer student here and I am currently a sophomore here at the University of South Alabama. My majors Physical Education. The reason why I chose USA is because it is not that far away from Auburn and I wanted to experience being far away from home on my own. Another reason why I chose USA is because I want to fulfill my dreams and play football for USA.

Some interesting things about my family is that we like to have cookouts, we always have a family reunion every year, we are a helpful family to others, and we have a family business call Father and Son's Concrete business. All the males in my family and their kids will work in the summer time with the concrete business. I chose physical Education because I like working with kids. I don't want to just be a p.e teacher but also become a coach for a college team. Things I like to do is hunt, fish, mud riding, and basically anything outside that you can have fun doing i like do it.

whats up
